Esther Smith

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Esther A. Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, on February 12, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on January 28, 1945 in Hornell, NY. She lived a life defined by kindness, resilience, an unwavering devotion and faith to our Lord and Savior, along with an unshakable devotion to those she loved. Esther was known for her sweetness and her love for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Karl Jr, her sister Sandy Simmons, Esther is preceded in death by her precious sons, Mark and James, and her granddaughter Ashley.

Survivors include her children, Paul (Melissa) Smith of Perry, NY, Amy (Randy) Malone of LeRoy, NY, and Matthew Smith of Pavilion, NY; Katelyn Smith of Silver Springs, NY, many grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Lena Wheeler of St Petersburg, FL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends and family are invited to call on Friday, February 20th, from 3 to 5pm, at Cameron, Brady, & Steuber Funeral Home, Le Roy, with her Funeral Service to follow at 5pm. Dinner to follow immediately following the service at The First Baptist Church of Pavilion.
