Joan W. Mills
LeRoy - Joan W. Mills, 81 of Black St. Rd. LeRoy passed away Thursday Oct. 2, 2014 at Crossroads House in Batavia.
She was born May 30, 1933, Daughter to the late Donald P. Whiting and Ruby Scott Whiting (Davis) and Walter K. Davis.
Joan graduated class of 1951 from Pavilion Central School and Rochester Business Institute. She worked at Massey Harris then The Pavilion State Bank for 25 years. She was a member of The First Presbyterian Church of LeRoy, LeRoy Friendly Club, Popular Corners Home & Garden Club, and the Ladies Association of the church. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, music, painting, gardening, quilting, and puzzle time with her husband and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Richard E. Mills; son, Donald (Kathy) Mills; daughter, Cindy (Wayne) Wood, sister Sharon Sherman Herman (Richard); 4 grandchildren, Jeffery (April) Mills, Kimberly Mills, Alexandra “Alex” Wood, and Ty Wood; great grandson, Lliam Mills, many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for family and friends will be held at Cameron Brady and Steuber Funeral Home, 111 Wolcott St. LeRoy on Sunday Oct. 5th between 2:00 – 5:00 PM. Where her funeral service will be held on Monday Oct. 6th 11:00 AM. Interment Machpelah Cemetery.
